illumina Miseq Sequencing System

The Illumina MiSeq Sequencing System is a benchtop next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform designed for rapid, high-quality DNA and RNA sequencing. It uses sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) technology to generate accurate, paired-end reads, making it ideal for applications such as microbial genomics, targeted gene sequencing, amplicon analysis, and small genome sequencing. The MiSeq system is compact, user-friendly, and well-suited for research laboratories and clinical applications requiring fast turnaround and moderate throughput.
Sequencing Technology Utilizes Illumina’s Sequencing-by-Synthesis (SBS) chemistry for highly accurate base calling. Read Length Supports up to 2 × 300 base pairs (paired-end reads), enabling longer read applications such as amplicon and small genome sequencing. Output Throughput Generates approximately 0.3–15 gigabases (Gb) per run, depending on the flow cell type. Run Time Flexible run durations ranging from ~4 hours to ~56 hours, depending on read length and configuration. Data Accuracy High accuracy with ≥ Q30 scores for the majority of bases, ensuring reliable sequencing results.
